If I had to decide between tapping a hole and swapping to a completely different motor... well, I think you know what the answer would be.

If a broken bolt is creating a roadblock for you, wait until you start swapping in a new motor.

No road block, just a large speed bump. I guess i'm lucky I have a few good guys on here that are quick to jump in and give me guidance and support when I hit these speed bumps.

We all want to help you here. I'm just trying to keep things in perspective. If you WANT a different motor, that's one thing, but don't let something as minor as a broken bolt make you spend hundreds of dollars to repair. Any competent shop should be able to use a bridgeport to re-mill/drill that hole.

Thanks, can you explain it a little more in my thread? I don't want to hijack John's thread.

i didnt have to cut the 420 shaft like i thought i would, just had to get a clutch..
in your case you would have to make a motor mount plate of sorts, and if your clutch is not for a 1 inch shaft you prob could use the 50.00 taper shaft adapter if yours is tapered..
since your sellin it id try to fix the engine in there also unless it was gonna get into hundreds of dollars, then the other way may be best
