Default 99 txt 25mph flat ground but wont climb grade

ive been searching the site trying to find this same problem but cant. My cart runs great on flat ground but when taking off it takes longer then it used to to rev up and once I hit a slight grade the rpms drop off rapidly and I stop dead with the engine barely chugging. I'm going to double check valves this weekend. in neutral both clutches look great, although ive never cleaned or lubed them or anything. This cart used to climb like a raped ape. any ideas?

hello I have a gas Yamaha cart 6'' lift with 22'' tires that would do the same exact thing!!! I ended up buying a new power secondary clutch spring and heavy duty belt, it took a little from my top end speed but my cart climbs awesome now!! I got my parts from Cart Parts Plus, I heard about plowmans but that's later down the road I will end up buying a full power clutch and sheave kit.

Your speed comes from rpm so it is spinning up but maybe having a fuel pump issue. Try grabbing the pulse hose and raise it up until it is tight at the engine. May have some oil in it.
