The fan is in 'exhaust' mode. It pulls air in thru all vents except the one where the fan itself is. Initially I was going to block that space (about .60") between the fan body itself and the charger case body, to insure max flow thru that 'exhaust' set of vents. But since the case stays lukewarm, I Don't think I'll bother. I do have a digital point/shoot temp gauge, it would be interesting to see what the transformer temp was/is.... But there is no easy way to do it, plus it is most likely just not worth it.

I have had this cart and charger about a year now, and about a month ago I put in my third controller board (just before my initial post for this thread). I'm sorta convinced the the accumulated heat did not help at all..... We use the cart almost daily, and the charge time is always a couple of hours. Time will tell, if it does not crap out in a few months, then the fan will be worth it, and I'll feel the heat was the reason for the earlier failures.

yea it would be a pain to take temperature

there are china knock offs of the controller board

try and get one from a reliable source (not cheapest)

I get them thru Amazon, about $50...... There are probably other places, Ideas welcomed, just in case
