Re: 2015 ezgo carb backfire???
To be honest I cannot explain it, but have seen it many times. Harold Martin, while still working as an engineer at GM did a bunch of dyno testing with interesting results. They found, using a clear intake, that even before we hear a backfire from a lean condition, that there were back fires that did not make it all the way to the TB so they were unheard, but we're still there. Lean does burn slowly, assuming it is not so lean there is no burn, and the overlap must be what allows it to come back up the intake port.
Next time I see Harold I will have to ask if he has a better explanation . I thought of lean condition causing this because he says runs fine warm. May be a little lean warm but not enough to cause issue, but cold that would make it way lean. Tom Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk |

Re: 2015 ezgo carb backfire???
pull out the main jet and ream it out a wee bit,and I mean a wee bit,no more han .002 to.003 with a welding tip cleaner. That will richin it up and make it run better with the oxygenated gasoline/catpiss they sell us.
