First off, thanks so much for all the help guys, couldn't have done it without y'all!!

The P.O. got a pro-rated price on the old batteries. They all load tested good, so the battery dealer gave him a new set of 8v's with new battery wires for $200. Put them in and the cart has absolutely NO shuddering and lots more power up hills. I believe the issue has been solved!

Now, one last question. Going on flat ground with my wife, 2 year old and myself, the cart will hit 14mph. Going up a very steep grade it will move around 9mph. Does this sound right for a 48v cart?
