Default Ezgo txt 48 volt not running

2013 48 volt Ezgo txt

Still can't diagnose.

Push accelerator and nothing happens.

What I know. Batteries are good

At yellow wire on new solenoid. I get 51 volts

It's not getting the negative volts to the other side.

See diagram attached. The neg(-) side of the solenoid activation circuit comes from controller pin 5. If the controller is failing to provide 48 (-) when the pedal is depressed you can disconnect this lead at the solenoid and run a new wire to the controller B -. Also, don't be alarmed if pin 5 is (+) before the pedal is depressed and changes to (-) when the pedal is pushed as it does in the earlier PDS models. GL

Pin 12 is the blue wire neg(-) from controller to activate solenoid.

OMG! - call the spelling police - wait...ok, they're here - phew!
What you didn't catch was the error in my text. I incorrectly identified the coil (-) as pin 5 when actually it is pin 12. I was counting from the wrong side as you can see from the pin out at the bottom right of the page. SO next time don't get hung up on the spell checking look at the meat of the post. LOL

Disconnect the blue wire from solenoid and test for 48(-). If no, like scotty said jump from b(-) to solenoid (-) and see if it activates with key on.

If you have no power at any pin then the problem is more basic. Use the diagram to trace back to where the power (+) for the controller begins.

If you need a quick video on how to use the meter go here > http://www.cartsunlimited.net/troubleshooting-.html
