Default Who designed RXV differential ? fluid fill

I 'm in the process of replacing a spun passenger side hub. First off 1. who designed a differential with "no fill access? 2. who designed a drain plug access hole that is a full 1 1/2" higher than the fluid it's suppose to be draining. (slanted access) makes me wonder what other design goodies i'm going to see next. Maybe it's the small size hubs for the stress that these carts see. From the number of posts it looks like great recurring revenue for ezgo. I think I'm just venting after wasting half quart of 85-w140 trying to baby feed fluid over the seal and it back flowing on to the floor. "Whew" I think i'm better now!!! seriously thanks everyone for the great posts. I could not have attempted this without your help.

Glad you are feeling better.

The terms "designed" and "EZGO" aren't mutually exclusive, but are close to it in several areas.

I use a fluid transfer pump to fill the pan on my TXT. Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Custom-Access...D0W31FRAH6A31P

The RXV axle oil refill is thru the sideshaft not the pan plug as its oil level is above the plug. You have to remove the sump pan, then refit and put Limited Slip Gear oil thru the sideshaft (25oz) to get the correct amount in the axle. A real pain in the you know what.See attachment
