The only thing I see is the oil filter setup. I have one of those or similar and it sticks out. They make a smaller one for about 20-30
Smaller filter? Or remote filter?

The filter adapter off the engine. They make a different one.
My 16 has one similar or like the one in the pic and my 18 has one like yours has.
Here’s what I’m talking about in the link below

I ran across a local guy that’s got a built up late model club car. I called him up to let me check it out. It’s got a 18HP vanguard in it. Fully decked out. Probably an 8inch lift. Bigger tires. Racks on front and rear for coolers. Led lights all over. Thumping stereo. I didn’t clock it with GPS, but I’m guessing it will go 22-25MPH. It takes off ok, but not quite as hard as I thought it should for that motor. I really wasn’t that impressed wth it until I realized that he has 25inch tires on it. With a little engine work on my 16, and 23” tires, the Vanguard should be plenty good. Now to start saving for parts........

It’s for sale. I think he said he’d take $8000 for it.

My parts list? Guess I need to call Vegas carts first and see what all I’ll need to transplant the Vanguard. Engine cradle for sure. Don’t have time , or enough info to make on right now. Maybe I can reuse the stock clutch? Not really sure yet what all I will need. Still learning. In fact, i might be more interested in putting a 295 head on mine to see how that works. Other that cost of head, nothing else needed to make that work. But I haven’t been able to find one of those yet.
Merry Christmas everyone!!

I swiped this text from a post by brewcitymusic

First, if You're going with a factory rebuild call Carrie at CT rebuilds and swap yours for a freshly rebuilt one, they'll charge a *LOT* less than $900 and You'll get a warranty too (706) 533 2698 ...

Pretty sure they have the 295 heads also.

The workhorse engine clutch is tapered shaft your new Briggs has a 1" straight shaft. If you want to use the stock clutch you need the adapter sleeve. You would be more happy with the Comet clutch that Vegas sells.
