Default Yamaha G 14

Howdy, I am the disgusted owner of a G 14 Yamaha that has cost Me nothing but money for the last six months, After getting the engine to run like a Swiss watch, Yesterday the differential started making a horrid grinding noise upon deceleration.
I know little about Gas Golf Carts and have tried to find a used differential with no luck However a gentleman on Ebay has the rear end out of a G 16 and claims it will replace the G 14 rear with no problem, Hopefully someone can answer the question for me, Will G 14 and G 16 interchange ??

Thanks in advance.
The Donkey.

Are you sure it’s not the clutch?

My car made horrible noises also on deceleration
I ended opening up that little hatch in the back so I could see my clutch then I had a Buddy drive while I videotaped it and I figured out it was my clutch

Can't totally answer your question But note the 1995 G14 had the G2 like yamaha rear where the 1996 had the Dana unit like the G16. First step might be to identify which unit you are replacing.
