I think it is an overflow, first thing would be to check the oil level is correct on level ground. If good you could push the hose back up a little & secure it the bracket, that would mean oil would have to go uphill a little.

I haven't pulled mine apart but I think it is just oil splashing up to that level then making it's way out of the hose.

It's the vent tube for the differential. Did you recently fill the diff? If so, you might have a little too much oil in it. It's not really an overflow, although I guess it can be explained that way. If you go off road and you are on a side hill or steep uphill, you could get some "over flow" lol.

Would it be better to run up somewhere higher then like on an ATV?

Twist the plug that the vent hose comes out of to where the hose points upward then bends around and back down through the holder.

That is the diff breather, have you serviced the oil, or added any lately? If not and it is just now leaking some from the hose, have you been in any deep mud or water with your cart? It shouldn't normally have anything come out of that hose unless its a little over full or as slonomo said, it could be the result of off-roading on some extreme angles.

No need to do that, unless you are planning on doing water crossings.

Thanks I will try turning where the hose goes in to the differential After it quits raining. Lol That makes sense.
