Is a G1 suitable for hilly terrain?
I have recently purchased a not running G1 and have diagnosed that the crank seals need replacing. I can get it to run but not well. My question is once I get the engine running well will this cart have the power to get up step inclines with
2 adults and 2 small children on the back (if I jimmy up a rear seat). I previously had a 4 stroke club car on loan and it did it no problems. |

Re: Is a G1 suitable for hilly terrain?
A steep incline? How steep are we talking?
Every machine has their limits. My cart with a 23hp Vanguard Vtwin will only climb up a certain slope, especially with 4 riders and only 1 wheel drive. When talking about climbing steep hills, it can get dicey. Lots of variables. With that said, the G1 is a great cart, very durable and fun to drive. I have built several of those carts, super easy to work on. |

The condition of the clutches and belt is very important...

Re: Is a G1 suitable for hilly terrain?
I love my G1 but a power monster it is not. Will it pull a decent incline? Sure it will. I suppose "steep" is the operative word. If you would have problems walking up that incline my G1 wouldn't climb it with 4 people on.
