Want to add lights to gas cart
Hi guys, I want to add some headlights and rear lights. Can I just run positive with fuse and negative directly to battery through a switch or does it need to go through a solenoid or something. If anyone has a diagram that would be great.

Re: Want to add lights to gas cart
The safest way is to have a fuse come off your positive terminal on battery, then into a relay, then to the lights. The relay is a safer way to turn on the lights so you don't have high amperage running through the switch.
google "light relay wiring" and you'll find what you want. There's even youtube videos on it. Lots of ways to do it. |

Re: Want to add lights to gas cart
Depends on the lights but my leds don’t need the relay. Doesn’t pull enough current.
