where do I take the reading? On each individual battery like I did previously and on the whole pack?

Drove the cart again with four people on it (approx 800#) for 40 minutes. Hooked the charger up and took a reading on each battery:
#1: 6.4 Volts
#2: 6.4 Volts
#3: 6.4 Volts
#4: 6.4 Volts
#5: 6.38 Volts
#6: 6.4 Volts

Total: 38.98 Volts

Sounds to me like your problem is solved, just don't run them down below below 38.2 and
plug your charger in when you are done riding.

I have a 93 Club car DS that I just bought and the guy had it wired with 3 12v batteries. Now that I have 6 new 6v batteries where do I even start? The diagrams are too confusing to me at this point????? It's also got lights wired up.......
