G2 voltage from / to battery
Is there any way to tell which direction the current is flowing between the starter generator and the battery.
Generator appears to not be charging but may to at voltage similar to that at the battery. Hope this is clear as mud |

Re: G2 current flow direction
I'm not sure that I understand the question but I will start the dialogue. Maybe I am on the right track. Maybe not.
Take a battery voltage reading with engine off. Start the car with the rear wheels safely up off of the ground. Take a another reading with the engine running. You need to see a higher voltage with the car running. |

Re: G2 voltage from / to battery
Thank you Rstacy.
Voltage actually drops when running. Not positive if it's running off battery or if generator output is low. If I ground the green wire at voltage regulator voltage also drops rather than increase. Has me going in circles. |
