1983 Yamaha G1 seats
We need replacement seats for the front on our 1983 Yamaha G1 golf cart, where is the best place to find these? Also what about a back seat? I can’t find any online so do we just make this?

Re: 1983 Yamaha G1 seats
There aren't any restoration replacement seats that look like the originals. Most people will install boat seats. I actually found a bench seat conversion kit on fleabay for like $250 and it was really nice.
For back seats, I've seen people use one for a G2/G9 and just modify it to fit. The only bad thing is the G1 rear body section flips up for servicing, so it would become extremely heavy, and the foot board usually hits the bumper. A solution would be to install a bench seat with a removable seat bottom, like from another similarly sized cart, then have the body cut underneath to be open. The rear body section could then be bolted down, and it would work well with a rear seat. |

Re: 1983 Yamaha G1 seats
I used boat seats from Academy Sports. I got them for something like $29.00 each. They are fold down and they had several different color combinations. They look a lot better and are more comfortable.
