Re: Is the motor bad
Essness was asking are hubs tight.... meaning have axles/hubs been stripped/worn out. If splines or whatever you call them, are worn down, on pavement there is less stress on them, when you go grass, dirt, etc, more stress more slippage. Torque your hubs before replacing motor. Good Luck.

Re: Is the motor bad
I am gonna say your motor could be weak I just sent two motors off to EMP for a rebuild. One was their own built motor (off The Beast cart) that gave up and the other was a mid 90's fleet motor. the fleet motor was weak on a lifted 4 passenger cart. With one pass the cart was fine (15mph) with 4 the cart barely did 8 mph and would not pull a hill it would stop. We had installed new T-105 batteries (2 sets actuatly) and 4 ga. wires thru out. I am also using a 400 amp controller with HD solenoid (tired 2 diff ones). the motor was the only thing left. I even tried new brushes in the motor but to no avail.

Re: Is the motor bad
I would try this one more little test, hook up your multimeter to the batteries and ride the car up and down the hills and to grandmas house and check the voltage as you are going along.
