2000 EZ-Go electric with stalling problem
I have a 2000 EZ-Go electric golf cart when driving it it will go about 40 feet, stop and start beeping. I take my foot off the accelerator, put it back on the accelerator and it takes off again and does the same thing. What is the problem?

Re: 2000 EZ-Go electric with stalling problem
Sounds like you have either a DCS or PDS cart, the beeps represent what is going on. The number of beeps should have a code on the controller cover telling you what it means.

The cart just beeps continusly untill I take my foot off the accelerator. I enter diagnostic mode and I get no code.

Go to the stickies page, you will find a diag section in which should help you go further.

Re: 2000 EZ-Go electric with stalling problem
I have the exact same issue. Had it in for repair last week. They cleaned the speed sensor. Got it back and it is still doing the same thing. Not always though. Going down the street and it will slow and start beeping. I counted 14 beeps. Let off the pedal and push down again and it will speed back up.
Golf cart tom... did you figure out what the cause is? |

Re: 2000 EZ-Go electric with stalling problem
Probably a bad speed sensor or magnet. Most likely the sensor, unless someone had removed the magnet and replaced it backwards...
Look for worn or exposed wires, especially at the point where they turn arounf=d the batteries in the OEM wire loop... |

Re: 2000 EZ-Go electric with stalling problem
Could be a bad battery OR a bad battery connection- the system will sense it and shut the car down. Connections on a PDS car have to be clean and tight.
