Default My old school build..Get out the popcorn!!!

Has i mention in my intro i have been building hot rods for some time now.My preference is 1950 and older.I bought my first golf cart a couple months ago and decided what the heck i will build an old school hot rod type golf cart for giggles.I tried to take pic's as the build progress, but we were trashing to make a charity cart run for this weekend,so i missed a few.i have listed below a few of the key items that were done.Hope it makes the cut...thanks

All red on cart is heave bomb red metal flake

Body paint is SEM hot rod black

taillights are 38-39 Ford teardrops

Bumpers were fabricated using 79 Camaro leaf springs

Hub caps are 1950's old school Shannon cones fabricated into stock plastic cart caps
36 to 12vt to 30 amp converter installed to accommodate stereo and other accessories

And of coarse wide whites

Cool! Love the wide-whites; is that paint or are they store-bought?

Would really like to know where you bought tire paint if you don't mind and what is in bagwell that fits so good? I think you did excellent job in your build! I am an old-school fan myself!

Sorry for the delay folks. You will need to scrub the heck out of the tires with a quality de-greaser.Let them dry real well then scrub the heck out of them with acetone. These two stops will stop the tires from yellowing out under the paint,The go get the Krylon FUSION spray can paint.DO NOT i repeat DO NOT try to apply in one or two coats. You will need to piss coat at least 4 0r 5 medium to thin coats with PLENTY of drying time in between coats. This will help reduce the problem of cracking of chipping. My and my rod buddies have had really good luck with this method

Krylon FUSION.Made just for plastic and rubber. Please read to post i put above for installing

What you see there under the access panel is where i took off the old dust shield and fabricated another to ride up the frame in between the batteries ant on top of the rear end so to help protect from the moisture from hitting the aftermarket electronics....Hope this helped ....thanks
