TXT light kit, burnt bulb?
I have the Madjax light kit installed on my TXT. One of my headlights crapped out on me after only two months. The orange marker light still works, and everything tests out good with a test light. The bulb looks fine, but no light. The bulb does not look removable?? The light assembly (clear lens, reflector, bulb) is removable from the rest of the thing, but the bulb looks to be built in to the reflector?
Anybody had this problem? |

Re: TXT light kit, burnt bulb?
It's a sealed unit. You have to replace the whole assembly. Mows the time to upgrade to HID's!!!!

Re: TXT light kit, burnt bulb?
Looks exactly like the ones I have on my cart. I had to remove the assembly from the cart to get to all the screws, but the bulb can be replaced without replacing the entire unit. Bulb was an H3 as Rabbit indicated in his post.

Re: TXT light kit, burnt bulb?
Where does one find this mysterious H3 bulb? Any auto parts joint will have them? I've only played with car and truck headlights in the past.
Hey Colt, it will come appart, if you mess with it long enough. I have the whole thing broken down and sitting on the bench. My local guy, and one of our sponsors (I won't mention any names yet) has failed to be helpful. He said he would check his spare parts bin and get back to me, it's been 3 days, 4 emails, and two phone calls with nothing as of yet I even offerd to BUY a whole new assembly....nothing. |

Re: TXT light kit, burnt bulb?
Ok, answered my own question, everyone carries the H3 55 watt bulb....doh!
Found a pic of one and that is exactly it. We'll see if it works! Autozone has a set of Xenon H3 replacements |

Re: TXT light kit, burnt bulb?
Sorry. Should have mentioned where the H3 bulbs are sold. Glad you got it figured out and have your lights working again.
