F&R Microswitch wiring
I recently bought what I belive to be a 1989 to 1993 solid state EZ Go (???). Someone has got "creative" with the wiring, there is a wire connector with no wire on one of the micro switchs I need help identifying. The cart runs but seems to be slow, the batteries are old but take a full charge. I disconnected them and checked the voltage in each battery 5 of them were at 5.9 to 6.1 volts and one of them was at 4.8 could this be the problem or is the motor worn out?
Thanks in advance for your help. |

Re: F&R Microswitch wiring
Welcome to bgw!
The batteries are probably the most obvious problem to start with. All the batteries in a pack should be within a tenth of each other voltage wise. Look for the state of charge chart in the stickies and print it out for reference. |

If you can find the serial number (Locating help is on site), plug it into this site and it'll return what your cart is. http://www.shopezgo.com/customer-ser...ialNumber.html Attached is a Voltage vs State of Charge chart. As you see, your best battery(s) is only taking about a 55% charge, so the cart would definitely be slow even if the motor and all the other things it takes to make it move were good. Get the battery issue solved and you might be satisfied. Or if you want more Torque or Speed, upgrade Cables, F/R Switch, Controller, Solenoid and or motor. |
