Default Stock 01 PDS motor replacement

Have a 01 PDS with bad motor. The motor that was in the cart has A & F terminals. The new motor from red hawk has A & S terminals and is supposed to work with stock controller but with cable upgrade. Cart uses 1206-mx controller. Motor speed sensor on new motor has 3 lager wires without a plug stubbed out and has a bolt on sensor. The motor I took out has the smaller wire speed sensor wire with plug that goes to controller. Motor is supposed to fit DCS/PDS.

Wondering if the motor sent is correct to use in place of factory motor. Never changed a motor where the letters on the terminals are different

Both are sepex motors.

Thanks in advance for your help

It sounds like they sent you a DCS motor. DCS carts didn't have regen braking.

I agree Scotty. In their catalog is has DCS/PDS motor. I'm confused on the labeling on the motor. It may work just fine but I need to make sure first.

Hopefully someone will drop in and has seen this before.

Thanks

I don't think it matters too much if the stationary windings are labeled Stator or Field since they both mean the same thing, but I would take issue with the wires from the speed sensor not having a plug on it. What do they expect the consumer to do, cut the plug off the old motor and butt-splice it? At a minimum, I'd expect a plug housing and pins to come with it.

DCS didn't use a speed sensor and PDS does, so it is for a PDS.

Just my $0.02

Just an update on this so you will know. The motor from Red Hawk works fine on the cart with the stock controller. All you have to do is splice the pig tail wires coming out of the motor and it is all over!!

Thanks for the help and hope this helps others
