Default I think my son found out why rear wheels do not turn

He came over today, and jacked the cart up and put jack stands under it.

when he jacked up the rear end and the drivers side rear wheel about fell off-
he saw it right away it was sticking out a couple inches further than the other-
I could have over looked the rear end diagram, but if anyone has one it would be much appreciated

it looks like the drivers side bearing is gone- and the shaft is pretty scared-

so new shaft and having the bearing pressed on is in order

any other things to look for?,

drain and clean all gears and bearings?

whats the best way to clean the unit?

right now it has more metal flake than most custom hot rods
any suggestions

it is a 2005 bad boy/ezgo
48 volt 4 wheel drive-2x 15 hp motors
it has a new speed controller and new solenoid

found a diagram of the rear end, but not the directions on how to remove and Instal brakes and bearingsp- lol

The other guys have you on track. Only thing I would do extra is add a rare earth magnet, or the best magnet you can find and stick it to the outside of the pan near the drain. You could put it inside the pan but I won't recommend that unless you absolutely knew, without a shadow of a doubt, it wouldn't move into the main gear.

Flush the crud out of both axle shafts since you have one axle out and the pan off.

After about 10 hours of run time pull the pan back off, remove any splinter/shards out of the pan where the magnet was, put the pan back on, service it back up and call it good.

That's just my opinion, unless you want to replace all bearings and regear?

Best of luck bud.

I'm sure Scotty can set you up. If he can't you can be assured he will direct you to a reputable source.
