Re: IQDM-P doesn't work when plugged into controller
On the first cart, i tried the port, then i checked the wiring harness, and then i plugged directly to the controller. Nothing at all at any point .
On the second cart, i just plugged into the port on dash. This cart ( 2009) has the controller behind the large metal plate, it is harder to get into than the center console type. |

Re: IQDM-P doesn't work when plugged into controller
Like Tahoe said the port under the dash can get snotted up quick depending on environment that the cart is in. If I try under dash and it doesnt work then I go directly to controller and on a handful of occasions the controller port did not work either. Controller may be fine but programming circuit just doesnt work.

Re: IQDM-P doesn't work when plugged into controller
ok, This is the first time I have come across this situation. I never considered that the IQDM-P would not work on a IQ cart.
But if you came across this before, it makes me feel better. I was wondering, normally as long as the cart is awake, when I plug into the port, it activates my programmer. I was wondering if there are certain steps or things that are needed to follow on some carts, in order to activate it? Somewhere I read something about putting in tow mode, I never do that. Is there certain carts, that I need to follow a certain procedure or order , to get the programmer to activate ( turn on)? |

All cars are the same. If the system is awake, the IQDM should boot up. Flip to reverse and listen for the reverse buzzer. This is a quick indication of system status. (Asleep vs awake) |

Re: IQDM-P doesn't work when plugged into controller
Sorry to hijack an old thread here. I have a 2010 Club Car excel(PH). I want to have the speed code 4 installed. I am thinking about buying an IQPD. What model will work with my cart? IQPD, IQPD2? etc.

Re: IQDM-P doesn't work when plugged into controller
. . . unless you KNOW the three numerical codes that need to be input into your controller to obtain speed code 4, it won't matter if you have an IQDM-P . . . typically, the codes are purchased from CC via a CC dealer, who in turn installs the codes into your controller (for a fee, of course) . . . the codes are cart/controller specific . . .
