Rear tire locks up when braking
When im goin near full speed and push the brake about half to three quarters of the way down the left rear tire locks up, what could be the problem? When I got the cart you had to push the brake all the way down for it to slow down so I tightened up the brakes a bit but not too much but I wouldnt think that could cause a tire to lock up.

Make sure that both cables are free and adjusted equally. Usually one of the cables will be frozen or broken ( frozen would be my guess ) because your pedal is not real low.

Lockman1, yes it stays locked up until I'm stopped or until I left off the brake.

After a lift is installed on electric Club Cars, sometimes the U bolts stretch after a year or two,
and the axle will twist a bit when braking and put additional pressure on the brake cable, (it happened on my 98 DS 48V) Check the tightness of the axle to leaf spring U bolts!  |
