Whatis the best high torque motor for a dcs?
I use my cart for slow speeds on ruff terrain and something now is getting so hot it'll quit, after it sits for 30-45 secs it'll take off again just wondering what would you guys recommend for high torque low speed I have a 96 dcs with 6" lift 22 tires and rear seat I don't care about speed just tired of having to worry about going up a hill thanks a lot!!!

Be very careful going slow or getting in a situation where the cart will stall. It will burn up the controller and possibly motor as well. I had a dcs cart that a friend of mines son got stuck in mud and it smoked trying to get out. After that I switched the cart over to a series system.

Onebadkr, seeing as how you want/like the torque, but don't really care about the speed....you may want to consider getting a new gear set for the rear end to up the ratio, with will slow your cart down, and you will have more torque in the process. Stock is 12.44:1 where as most single speed low speed gear sets are 15.1:1 (about 25% more torque) or 13.1:1 are available as well.

Based on a stock tire height of 18", height, the 22" tire height is costing you about 18% in torque, so you will have to go at least 15.2:1 to break even and numerically larger (IE: 17:1) to gain anything over stock torque.
