Curtis has a test procedure for the 1204 and 1205 controllers in their manual.

Yea but try and find the 1510A.

Steve that's good information if you're driving an antique golf cart. I'm talking about modern controllers that are accessed and adjusted by the handheld CAN reader.

. . . I got lost in the thread, I guess . . thought someone was looking for test procedures for a 1204/1205 controller . . . regarding the 1510-5250 controller . . I have this is my cart and can access it with my laptop with no CAN interface . . . however, one needs the proper software and USB/Serial interface to accomplish this . . . there is an entire thread devoted to this here:

You do not need any special instruments to test a Curtis 1204/1205 controller, the procedure is outlined in detail in the manual. See:
