Re: AMD (Advanced) Golf Cart Motor BT6-4002
this is FYI straight from the Curtis website
I heard that Series motors produce more torque than SepEx motors. This is not true when an electronic motor controller is used. A motor controller will limit the current to a Series motor, effectively limiting its torque to the controller’s maximum current rating. A Series motor will only provide more torque than an equivalent SepEx motor if the Series motor is connected directly to a battery without any current limiting. In this case, the stalled motor current would be very high due to zero armature back EMF. However, once the motor got spinning, the torque would rapidly decrease. |

Hey folks what does "powerdrive" mean? When I was looking around some motors say not for use with "powerdrive".

That is the charger name/brand supplies by CC. There are Powerdrive I, II & III.
Vendors here can supply replacement chargers. |

Re: AMD (Advanced) Golf Cart Motor BT6-4002
Almost right - below is a picture of my Powerdrive (not plus and not 48 ) Charger supplied as OEM on my '96 Regen 1 (Sepex) - using OEM RED (not orange) OBC Light.

Re: AMD (Advanced) Golf Cart Motor BT6-4002
Its not a reference to the charger, they are called power drive too. It has nothing to do with a charger in this case

Re: AMD (Advanced) Golf Cart Motor BT6-4002
Yes, you are right - the manual refers to my Regen 1 system & controller as Powerdrive Plus.
