Correct after switching s1 and s2 back to original and switching a1 a2 it is now slow in forward then reverse, and the travel doesn't match the f/r

Okay, if I'm understanding you correctly, without regard for the actual direction the cart travels, the speed is slower when the F/R is in the R position.

If so, transposing the S1 & S2 cables (again) ought to get everything back in sync.

Sounds like both the A1/A2 cable and the S1/S2 cables got mixed up the last time somebody worked on the F/R switch or the motor.

I misspoke When i switched the S1 and S2 wires to original and tried switching A1 A2 the cart was still moving fast forward and slow in reverse but the F/R lever was opposite of the direction of travel still

Okay, regardless of which way the cart actually moves, does the cart move Slower when the F/R lever is in Reverse and Faster when it is in Forward?

Also, as the cables are now positioned, the S1/S2 cables were switched from their original position, but not switched back when the A1/A2 cables were switched?

My question: Okay, regardless of which way the cart actually moves, does the cart move Slower when the F/R lever is in Reverse and Faster when it is in Forward?
Your answer: No, it is faster when it is in reverse position and slower when it is in forward position

There is something not right about the F/R switch mechanically, but I'm not all that familiar with the mechanics of F/R switches, so I'm going to yell for help from people that know more about them.
