Bad boy, new and improved???
Does anyone have a sense as to whether the newer generation bad boys are really that much better than the older original generation vehicles? I have used a stealth xr and liked it and an orig bbbut am told the newer recoil with AC motors vs DC are much improved. The new recoil introduced as a 2013 has irs in the frint, straight axle in rear and two large ac motors. Im not sure what the difference is between ac and dc motors but bbb makes a big deal out of this. Also has 72v based on 6 batteries 12 volt each and reportedly 40 miles range.
Btw, What ever happened to stealth? |

Two of my buddies have Stealth's.....one is 64v & the other is 72v. Impressive power out of both. I've heard they went "belly-up"......

It's my understanding that BB was bought out by EZ-GO. OTOH, for what it cost to buy a BB you can build one, or like I did, have one built with much better aftermarket products and even after shipping cost, it's much less than a BB.

I have a Recoil IS and it is an amazing vehicle. Unbelievable power when going up hills. The only downfall is the battery life. They claim 40 miles on a charge, it is not even close to that. Other than that it is really smooth riding and quiet.

Also the BBB has eight volt batteries in it. I have a 2014 Recoil and it has independent suspension all the way around.

Can anyone share their experiences again with the newer Bad Boy Recoil "now Textron Off Road Recoil"? Thinking of buying one and now they offer a 2 year warranty.

Re: Bad boy, new and improved???
So the new ones are just as bad now that Textron / Ezgo makes them?
