Default 2006 EZGO robin 350 Black plugs, slow to start

Hi,

I have had my cart for a long time and never had a problem. This past week we went camping in Tennessee and I started having problems with it.

In the morning it starts fast and runs normal, but after a few runs up and down the campsite hill it starts losing power and smells like gas.

If I stop and let the motor turn off while it is hot, it starts but will not rev up for about 15-30 seconds and then goes.

I pulled the plugs, they were black like charcoal, tested the spark and it is sparking.
I pulled the fuel line off the carb and when I push the gas fuel pours out.
I also checked the valves and they are good.

Can the carburetor be messed up? float or needle?

Thanks for the help.

Black carbon means that it's running too rich with fuel.

Now you have to figure out if the carburetor is feeding it too much gas, or if it's starving for air.

I would have thought valves, but you eliminated that problem.

I would suggest SeaFoam, and a new air filter. Although rare on a 4 stroke, maybe check for a clogged exhaust too.
