G19e wiring help

I am installing 48v / 12v reducer(volt 2000 20amp) and a light kit.Instructions on the reducer are to connect yellow wire from reducer to positive side of key switch,how do I tell which is positive side,,,it has 2 wires red,and red and white stripe.

They are both positive, but one only has positive when the key is on. If the keyswitch was "one positive, one negative", it would be a key-operated fuse blower (short circuit).
