Default Upgrading the starter/generator from 10A to 15A… (1995 Medalist)

Has anyone replaced their stock starter/generator (Hitachi GSB107-10A) with a 15A model (like GSB107-06F)? If so, how has it worked out? Thanks.

I haven't ever had the need to do it, what are you trying to accomplish?

I would be trying to accommodate maybe a spotlight (probably LED with at least 2000 lumens), a usb charging port, and some sort of a stereo.

USB charging port and stereo will draw very little, unless you’re planning on adding additional amplifiers and stuff. Depending on the spotlight you use, chances are it won’t draw a ton either. I’d give it a go with the cart as-is before spending $ on potentially unnecessary upgrades. A good battery will go a lot further than a generator
