I been on here maybe 2 yrs and have really enjoyed the info. I was having trouble with my charging system on 02, 350 workhorse, finnaly got to Voltreg and that was the problem, bought one from a member, after beating my knuckles up and learning the tricks to remove and replace I completed the task and now have 15-16 volts, so THANK ALL OF YA

Re: Ya'll helped me fix it
You should be at be at between 14-15 volts. Anything under 14 is too low to keep the battery charged and anything over 15 is too high and would likely end up frying the battery. If you are sure the voltage regulator *is* good . . . make sure the wiring harness and generator field wiring (green lead) is not grounded.
