Default No Compression after Rebuild

Just rebuilt engine for 1997 EZ-GO TXT with EH29 engine. Put new pistons, rings & valves. Still not getting compression. I searched and did not find anything specific. Any help would be great, where should I look or what did I do wrong? Thanks

the first thing I would check is the timing belt..and make sure the valves are moving.

the valves might not be ajusted right and staying closed or not opening , you could have broke a ring during installation , you might not have staggered the ring end gaps , the cylinder walls could be worn beyond the rings specs you used , head gasket improperly installed or the head or block is cracked ------------ did you try a wet compression test squirt some oil into the cylinder and retest , if compression comes up then it could be a ring problem , if it don't then look somewhere else

Hello.

Look (as said) at the belt timing.
Look if the balanceaxle is build in correct.
If not, the belt timing isn't good.
If the compression isn't enough on both cilinders, it's almost for sure the timing.
