$2500 to spend
Hi all.... I am new to the forum. I have a 1999 TXT. I have a budget of 2500 to make this buggie look sweet and run faster than the 13mph it does now. Everything is stock now. I would like new tires and lift kit if possible. I can live with the body color for now. What would you all do first, and will $2500 get me much.
also is there a place that sells everything you suggest(one shop stop)? not sure 3" or 6" lift... have never seen the two side by side to know any opinions? Thanks Litho |

Re: $2500 to spend
I have a '99 TXT that I'm working on now. I have all the parts ordered and that's about how much I spent on upgrades. Here's what I did...
HD F/R switch Super duty 400/1000 amp solenoid 2 ga. cables throughout Alltrax 500 amp controller D&D Motor Allsports 5" drop axle lift 12 inch wheels/22 inch tires That's all I can think of for now but I'm sure there are some things I'm forgetting. I have no idea how much improvement I will have with speed/torque yet because I have the cart torn down to the frame at the moment. I will eventually add 2 more batteries to run on 48 volts. |

Re: $2500 to spend
I chose to do my upgrades in three phases. 1998 series TXT.
The first phase was headlights, taillights, stereo, brakes, steering, etc. When my batteries finally died, I went to eight T-105s, 4855 500 amp controller, HD solenoid, HD FNR cam, 48 volt charger, Ex-Ray, 48 > 12 volt converter, replaced all bearings in my motor/rear-end/axle, bought HD front and rear springs, etc. I probably spent $3,000 over the last two years. My last phase will be to make it pretty. Right now, I have no lift, stock wheels/tires, paint, etc. |

Re: $2500 to spend
So it looks like the controller/soleniod is #1 priority. I see packages on cartsunlimited around 500.00. Next for me would be a lift kit and wheels around
800.00 at american liftkits. I just dont know what length 3" 4" or 5" to go with. Also whats the difference between drop vs lift...any one have pics of the two? I have 6 new t-105's coming in tues i got for 84.00ea |
