Your 1996 uses the same parts as the car in the discussion above.

The part numbers are for an inner ball joint and a "delta shock and gear support" while your post states to replace the entire steering rack. Would the 2 parts above complete the entire steering rack?

No. The delta shock and gear support are not even part of the steering rack. It's the bracket that the rack bolts onto. The inner ball joint for a 1996 is no longer available, therefore you must order an entire rack.

To clarify for others, Club car stopped making inner ball joint, oem part # 1013041, for models 9640-533437 and prior. However, they are available through aftermarket vendors. I haven't heard about reliability. The steering rack part number mentioned above, 103601501, is for the complete steering rack assembly.

I was referring to OEM parts. I honestly had no idea that they were available in the aftermarket world or I would have said so. I don't use aftermarket parts so I really had no idea. Good find.

I have a 09 precedent that I'm having a steering problem with. I hit something pretty hard one night after a few too many drinks lol and either bent something or messed up something in the steering box but both tires were bent out pretty bad. I was able to correct them by realigning them but noticed the other day that they were starting to point outward again. I'm going to check the shock bracket when I get home but any advice would be appriciated and no I'm not going to stop drinking lol.
