Default Re: Turf II Gas 2008 won't go move RG0833

I'm going to test the solenoid now by connecting the Positive to the blue on the solenoid, and the negative on the orange, press the gas pedal in F and if there is no voltage I know the solenoid is good correct? If it's negative voltage it must be the switches. Am I saying this correctly?

Then I can test the blue side and orange side separate and that should show which switch is bad?

I'll look for a reply while I'm testing in case you respond and I'm messing it up haha

Red face Re: Turf II Gas 2008 won't go move RG0833

Update

I tested the solenoid, no voltage so it's good.

Tested the key switch (blue side) 12.5 v it's good

Tested the orange side and it's all over the place.

Tested the 773 switch in the electric box. All over the place

Therefore I Arrive to the
Conclusion I will replace the 773 switch behind the dash FNR shifter.

I will update when I get the part and swap it out!

I guess I should apologize, I kept thinking the FNR shifter was mounted on the rear body and not in the dash like XRT 850/900's!
But sure enough... the shifter is mounted on the dash!
(A bit different from what I'm used to, so I stand corrected!)

By the looks of the Illustrated Parts Manual, there are 3 micro's on the shifter.
I didn't look through the wiring diagram well enough to see what they all do yet,
But at least I hope your on the right track!

Here's the parts list for your cart:

What about the maintenance switch under the seat ? If it's flipped it will start in neutral.

So I replaced the three micro switches in the dash, as well as the two in the electric components box.

Still nothing.

Jumped the green wire on the solenoid in the electrical component box to the battery negative and now it starts and runs when the pedal is pressed. It also starts the engine while in neutral.

I think the micro switch in the dash (yellow striped wire isn't grounding).

Also it's been sitting for 4 or so months without running. So now sometimes when trying to drive it, the engine will engage but kind of putt a bit and not go if the pedal is pressed fully. It's like I need to slightly press the gas pedal until the engine takes off and moves the cart then flooring it is ok again. Is this because of the old gas that sat in it? Would seafoam or something ruin the cart, or should I just drain the gas and oil and put in new. Or is this not the problem? haha thanks!

Thank you for all the help and suggestions! The issue was the microswitches in the box under the lift. I had to cheat by jumping directly to the battery from the switches and that works. Although when it's in neutral it still will turn over the motor by pressing the gas pedal. But I got it moving forward and backward and that's what I needed. Hope this helps anyone else out there!

If gas with ethanol was used in it, the carb is probably shot, I would drain tank and carb and use only non ethanol gas.

Thanks Danny but the issue was resolved. It was the micro switches under the lift. Thanks for reaching out and offering help though, have a great weekend~
