Question melex question

have a older model melex that as soon as i turn on key switch it tries to go, not much, but enough that if you just stop and do not turn off key it will try to pull off, or if you lock brake, the coils underneath will get red hot. Any help will be greatyl appreciated, i am leaning towards the micro switch, but am fairly new to this and just want to make sure what i have before i get to into it. I have just replaced the f-n-r switch as this was "arking" when you switched from one to another direction, that prob is fixed, now just need help with the going on its own!! thank you in advance for any help with this matter.

it is not the micro-switch, the throttle is not backing off all of the way to it's neutral positon.... Check the peddle return and the throttle wiper position.

will try this weekend, didnt think of until just now, also when the key is off, if you ease the "gas" pedal down, the cart will try to go, but once the pedal is depressed a little further, it quits, all this is when the key is off!! ?????? thanks for any suggestions

Cool Re: melex question

mine dose the same thing.. I Just stand the forward reverse switch streight up, inbetween for neutral. and move it to which direction when I want to go. what I Haven't done yet is to measure the microswitch continuity when the accelorater is in the neutral position. it shoud be open. if not then the actuater arm needs to be adjusted (bent) to open the switch when the acceleratoris in the neutral or off position. The two micro swithes on the foward/reverse switch will do the neutral or disengage the relay job just bas good.
