depends on what clutch you have. If its a comet clutch its SAE thread, sorry not sure off the top of my head on size and thread 5/8 ths maybe fine??
get a pic of your clutch for us.

If its the stock Yamaha clutch youll need to but the tool. Its an something like m14 x1.0 very hard to find.

That's the old style Yamaha G1 clutch, good clutch if it's in good working condition. You'll need the Yamaha tool.

Is there a way to tell if it works good without running the engine? Or do you just run it and see how it does?

when you remove it to do the clutch side crank seal the outer sheave comes off and you can then get a good look at the internals. Simple setup. just make sure its clean and grease the bushing upon assembling. Index the 2 pieces of the outer sheave so its goes back together the same as it came apart. There are markings from the factory but can be hard to find.

On a side note, this cart was missing the air intake hose from air filter to carb and also the top of the air filter canister. Are these easy items to find or have y'all went with a completely different air filter to mount to this carb?
