A-Arm lift possible with front brakes?
Hey All. I have a 2000 turf 2 electric. Covid is putting a damper on a lift kit. I have front brakes and from what I am finding, i'm only capable of putting on a spindle lift. I'd like a 6". If this is a DS front end, has anyone adapted an A-arm lift for brakes? I'd really like to have the ride of the A-arm. Thanks!

Brand of brakes you have?
I installed Jake's front brakes and a few years later installed a Jakes LT front with no issues. |

Re: A-Arm lift possible with front brakes?
Thanks Dave! I'm realizing you did the long travel. I don't think the $1,000+ is in the cards just for the lift. I'll have to stick with advil for my shoulders and a back support for now, with a spindle lift. I was wondering if anyone has deleted the front brakes to install the A-arm style? That seems to be more reasonably priced. This is my first cart, so I'm doing a lot of reading and videos. From the manual, it seems like the carryall 1 only has the rear brakes also. How much would I be sacrificing with the deletion?

I'm sure guys have done it.... Do you live in a hilly area / always haul around lots of weight? i would imagine you'd probably be fine without fronts |

Re: A-Arm lift possible with front brakes?
Might try messaging the people at All Sports. I think they make a lift for stock front brake carts, but they might not have it listed on the site. All of their lifts are made to order, so they can probably make whatever you need.
Usually not a big deal to go without front brakes unless you have a limo cart or have a lot of really steep hills, or trying to stop from over 20mph. |
