Green Wiring Lead. Where does it go?
Hello. Somewhat new '08 SS48 pilot here. New to this forum as well.
I bought this cart used a couple months back. It's had 1000 miles on it and a couple of things need fixing. The wipers and cig lighter adapter doesn't work. I suspect it may have something to do with a wire since all fuses check out OK. On the battery cables, there is a green wire coming out of a black covering with a white and black wire. The end had a connector on it and it looks like it corroded away and came off. Can someone look at their cart and tell me where this connects? I suspect the negative battery terminal, but would rather know for certain rather then pop some fuses or fry something make the problem worse. Thanks! Dave |

I don't own a tom but my guess is someone used extension
cord wire(hot-black, neutral-white, ground- green) to wire the add on accessories. Check 12 volts over and look for remnants of an eyelet terminal. |

The green wire is one of the four leads coming out of the battery charger on the rear side where it's very visible. I don't see any terminals that it would of been attached to. No evidence. White and black go to the main negative battery terminal, and red goes to the positive. Green is about the correct length to go to the positive , but nothing there to show it ever was. Can someone look at theirs please? |

Re: Green Wiring Lead. Where does it go?
I found the green lead coming from the battery charger. My is taped up into the wiring harness. It doesn't appear to be used for anything. Have u tried calling the charger company or looking up a wiring diagram for your charger. Looks to me as if it may be a ground in the charger to battery connection that is not used.

Re: Green Wiring Lead. Where does it go?
The Green wire from my Delta Q Charger was connected to a Red
Wire that comes out of a different wire bundle. The connection is with a male spade connector on the end of the red wire that slides into the female connector on the green wire. This pertains to an E Merge 2. (could be different on your car) Thought I read in another thread that the green wire was battery voltage? I will check that out when I get my charger back. |

Re: Green Wiring Lead. Where does it go?
We have same cart and charger. I can't actually tell where that wire goes because of the tape job but I am now very curious. I may remove some of the tape later today and see if I can come up with something.

Re: Green Wiring Lead. Where does it go?
I don't have a wiring diagram for the E Merge - SO just guessing what the green wire does.
but! I read on another post that the green wire reads battery voltage. Maybe you should use a volt meter to measure voltage to ground from the green wire. If it does read battery pack voltage maybe it is there to power some kind of charge meter circuit? Just a guess based on hear say! |
