Carryall Turf Won't Run
I was driving my Carryall Turf along a hillside spraying herbicide. It was running fine. I turned to go down the hill and on the way down it just quit running. It would not restart. When I looked under the seat, there seemed to be no fuel in gas lines. I disconnected them, siphoned fuel through them, and reconnected them. Then I tried to restart and still nothing -- except an occasional backfire.
I towed the cart back to the barn. I checked that the fuel pump was working -- it was. I replaced the spark plug and check to see if it was sparking. It is. I removed the carburetor and cleaned it. I sprayed starter fluid in the carburetor. Nothing. Just the occasional "cough" and backfire. Any ideas? |

Re: Carryall Turf Won't Run
If it still wont run on alternative fuel it sounds like you have a spark problem. maybe a weak coil. I would go in that direction. do u have a spark tester and getting a nice strong blue spark? if you have fuel and spark then check for compression. Its one of the three.
