Default Installed a stereo and speakers

I installed a stereo head unit and some 5 1/4" speakers this last weekend. The bottom (front) speakers are kicker mini sub woofers. The top (rear) are 4 way speakers. With the Kenwood head unit and no amp, it sounds pretty darn good (and loud).

Looks good! Does your radio cut off when you switch from reverse to forward? I'm having that issue and my key switch is the same as yours. Thanks.

I wired my radio to a constant 12volt source so that it works when the key is off, etc. I just have to make sure to turn it off when I park the cart.

Your cart looks great. I want to put a stereo in mine too. So did the receiver just pop in the hole with no modifications? Did you put enclosures on the back of the speakers to keep them dry? Any other tips about the install?

1) I had to do some light trimming on the dash with a hack saw blade.

2) No, I didn't but I should have. When I need to replace the speakers in the future I may or may not address this.

3) Measure twice, cut once. My bottom speakers are not exactly the same distance from center. No one has ever noticed.

Thanks for the response, I'm going to give it a try on my new Express S4 with a short top. Don't care for Texas Orange. Mine is a better shade of Sooner Red. But that will be settled again in October.

I like all your mods, thanks for sharing.
