Default Shock extensions for 1-2" increase in clearance

Thoughts on using truck shock extensions to get 1-2" increase in ground clearance?

Most of them rotate the pivot point for the shock mount hole 90 degrees so that they wouldn't collapse over. My concern is that the extra side pressure/force may cause the shock to bend or break.

Either looking to go this route or purchase a cheap 4" economy lift then cut down the brackets and move the mounting holes to get about 2" of lift.

A shock extension will not raise your cart. Unless you have coil over shocks

Correct. I have a G16 with coil spring and shocks assembled together.

Which every Yamaha has at all 4 corners, not a single leaf spring in the entire parts catalog.

^^^ that's what I thought. I ordered a pair that looked to measure the way I was thinking. They were inexpensive to give a test for fitment. I found an old thread on here where a guy made some for his gas G16, the issue I saw with his setup was the pivot point remained the same. So the extensions could role/collapse over.
