Default Need Help With Yamaha G2

I bought a golf cart from a friend and when I got it, the engine was out so i decided to put it back in and see if I could get it running. but they cut the gas cable and the cart is the kind where you push the gas to make it go, So where does that gas cable go to?Or what makes the engine turn on when you hit the gas? PLEASE HELP!

A switch under the cart by the gas peddle starts the cart. The throttle cable does not have to be there for it to start or run really. I have one running with no throttle cable. I just tightened the idle adjustment until it is running at the speed I want until I get a new cable. You should get a service manual if you are going to do the work yourself.
You are going to have more problems than we are going to be able to help you with here without a manual!

There you go, hit this link and you will find your owners manual! And then you probably want to order a new cable and bypass the governor. The cable will be the same for the bypass, see this link first and see if it will work for your cart. Yamaha governor bypass
