Re: Removing dash board from txt
The dash on a TXT comes off after the front cowl is removed. You will not need to remove it as once the cowl is removed you will have complete access to the backside of it.
Cowl removal. Remove the rocker panel scuff guards and the rocker panels. Drill out rivets at the cowl previously covered by the rocker panel. drill out the 2 rivets at the front of the cowl to the air damper behind the Ezgo plate. Drill out the 7 rivets around the top edge of the dash. Remove cowl. Replace with factory rivet set. |

Re: Removing dash board from txt
The best way to install a stereo and speakers is to simply remove the cupholders and use that as an access point for the wiring.( assuming of course that you're installing the head unit in the ball holder) Order those molded speaker pods too. Installation is a breeze. I ran my power lead from a 12V battery, under the floormat and into the rear of the cupholder. I shaved off the retaining tabs from the cupholder itself so I can just pop it out any time I need to. No need to remove the cowl at all.

Re: Removing dash board from txt
That's them! My pods are EG-00-00-01-D. They totally rock! My advice is to go the extra mile and trim the floormat intead of just leaving the pods on top of it. That makes a much cleaner looking install. I threw an old pair of 5" factory speakers (can't even remember which clunker I pulled them out of) and they sound great!
