Default Two cycle mufflers & parts

89 Ez-Go Marathon 2 cycle 3PG ~
The exhaust parts for this machine now cost $400 new!! - Has anyone here tried to install a motorcycle muffler going out the rear ?? I'm looking for a used muffler along with some carb linkage & misc. parts. These carts use a worm drive input gear on the differental that the driven clutch goes on - has anyone here replaced the input bearings?? It looks like you may have to split the diff housing to replace the bearings??

Hey PB,

Do you still have the muffler, or are you sans muffler?

If you still have the muffler, have a muffler BBQ - that may solve your issues.

If you're missing carb parts, I don't think the linkages cost that much. If you also still have your oil injector hooked up, you can strip this off, and steal the linkages from it (and go to premix).

Can't help you with the clutch question.

I bought this as a basket case, for the motor, for my 2pg - guy said it was a 88 model with a uninstalled good engine but ended up being an 89.... It is a truckster so I went ahead and put the engine it came with in. It did come with a muffler but it was a vertical one for my 87, not the horizontal 3pg one.... A.P.B.... any one.... any parts??
