Club Car Carryall Seat Base Measurements?
I have new seat covers for my 2001 Carryall but the wood base on the main seat is rotted real bad so I cannot get good measurements to make a new piece. Does anyone know these measurements, or can you get them? I assume it would be the same for the DS model as well?

Ok next question, sorry to hijack but what wood to buy & how thick?
Do you coat the wood for longevity? |

I am planning on using some 3/4" I have here at the house from another project. Even though the factory wood that I can see does not look near as thick.
Coating is not a bad idea, did not even think of that. May paint it before I install the cover and foam. |

Re: Club Car Carryall Seat Base Measurements?
They came with 1/2 plywood. They make marine grade 1/2 plywood. 5/8 is a little firmer but the marine grade is in 1/2 or 3/4. You could use a water sealer on it. I bought 3 Carryalls ( 1,2,472 ) so I'm getting ready to replace some covers also. Good luck!

Re: Club Car Carryall Seat Base Measurements?
Go 3/4" marine grade, you won't be sorry. Also, slightly round the corners to keep them from tearing the cover. Very Important: drill the "fart holes" in the board!!!! These are to let air escape from the foam when you sit down and it will prolong the life of your seat covering. (won't rip it away from the staples over time with the force of the air compressing) Also, take the screws that hold the rubber strip onto the seat frame out of it before reinstalling the new board, and do the same with the screws in the seat hinges on the front. This will allow the new board to seat properly and be bolted on, then reinstall the hinges and the rubber piece and the screws will go into the wood and hold everything together even better. Final note - the threaded things in the wood that need to be installed from the foam side to work properly and have little teeth are called "tee nuts." Any good local hardware store should have several sizes of them, you'll need 3/4" long ones for the now thicker seat bottom board.
