Heavy load periodically killed cart
Need some assistance. I have a 2016 Yamaha g29 with factory Trojans. Yesterday i was riding at camp and had a hefty load ( 7 people ) and cart was fully charged and we were on relatively flat ground. After about 30 seconds cart stopped moving. Still had power but pedal did not function. I had to cycle the run/tow and lose a few people then cart worked fine... is it possible it was some sort of safety feature?

Re: Heavy load periodically killed cart
That's usually because the controller noticed undervoltage, and shut down. What's battery pack voltage when this occurs?

Re: Heavy load periodically killed cart
I was pretty much fully charged at 48v but i did have some large humans on there at the time... needless to say we won’t be doing that again.

Re: Heavy load periodically killed cart
48 volts isn't fully charged though. 100% should be around 50.9 volts.
How old are your batteries? |

Batteries are original 2016. i don’t have a multimeter, I may get one to test and make sure batteries aren’t aged too much... Carr is also lifted with 14” wheels and 23” tires so I’m sure that extra weight doesn’t help either. |
