Battery post explode
What would cause battery post to explode from battery while driving.Never seen this before.8v exide battery.Went off like gun shot.Not the first time he told me.

Heat. Poor connection or corrosion on the posts causing resistance.
The terminals on the exide batteries are crap. Just a crap design IMO. They trap dirt and corrosion beneath the terminal and it eats away at the post inside the case. And there’s no way to adequately clean them once corrosion starts, it just keeps going. I had a few sets of exide batteries in my carts at one point and had several that the entire posts simply twisted off down inside the case. You will always have problems with those batteries. If you can afford it, save yourself the headache and get rid of them. |
